2 oz Thirteen Monkeys All-American Whiskey
1–2 dashes Old Fashioned bitters
A small splash of water
One large ice cube
Add ¼–½ oz real maple syrup.
Add ¼–½ oz honey. For easier mixing, thin the honey with a small amount of warm water first.
Skip the maple and honey. Add a small amount of cane sugar or cane-sugar simple syrup.
Add the bitters, water and your chosen sweetener to a rocks glass. Stir until combined. Add Thirteen Monkeys Whiskey and one large ice cube, then stir until chilled.
Garnish with an orange peel and a quality maraschino cherry.
And don’t be cheap—use good maraschino cherries. This whiskey deserves better than the bright-red bargain-bin ones.
